Notifications Guide

This guide will help you understand and configure notifications in Getmany, ensuring you stay informed about your account activities and job searches.

Notifications in Getmany are categorized into three main types:

  1. Global Notifications: Updates on overall account activities.

  2. Upwork Client Alerts: Notifications about client interactions on Upwork.

  3. Job Search Engine Notifications: Alerts specific to job search engines and bidding statuses.

Note: Before setting up notifications, connect your preferred messenger (Telegram, Slack, Discord) in the Apps & Tools section of your Getmany Settings.

1. Global Notifications

(Configure in Account Settings)

There are three Global notifications:

  • Daily Account Summary

Provides a daily summary of your Getmany account activities, including information on submitted job bids and overall account statistics.

  • Low Connect Balance

Informs you when your Connect balance is low, specifically when your available connections drop below 80 Connects.

  • Auto Top-Up Connections

Alerts you when an automatic top-up of connections has been made in your behalf, indicating that Getmany has purchased additional connections for your account.

Account Summary & Connects Balance applies to the entire Getmany account and provides updates on overall account activities.

To configure:

  1. Go to Account Settings in the top right > Notifications

  2. Select the types of global notifications you wish to receive: ◦ Daily Account SummaryLow Connect BalanceAuto Top-Up Connections

  3. Toggle the switch to enable or disable each notification type.

2. Upwork Client Alerts

(Configure in Account Settings)

Stay updated on key client interactions for manual bidding, including:

  • Client’s reply on Upwork

Alerts for replies to your applications.

  • Client’s invitation on Upwork

Alerts when a client invites you to a job.

To configure:

  1. Go to Account Settings in the top right > Notifications.

  2. Select the messengers on which you wish to receive client alerts.

  3. Checkmark the notification type and toggle the switch to enable or disable notification messenger.

3. Job Search Engine Notifications

(Configure in Step 8 of Bidding)

Job Search Engine (JSE) notifications keep you updated on job search and bidding activities.

Notification types:

  • Successful Applications

Notifies you each time an application is successfully submitted.

  • Failed Applications

Alerts you when a job application fails — whenever an application is not successfully submitted.

  • Lead Reply

Notifies you when a client replies to your application.

To receive notifications specific to a particular JSE:

  1. Go to the Job Search Engine tab > Bidding

  2. Enable notifications for the specific JSE by toggling the switch.

  3. For Telegram:

    a. Add @getmany_app_bot to the group or channel where you want to receive notifications.

    b. Enter the unique subscription command for the JSE in the group or channel.

  4. For Slack and Discord:

    a. Connect your Slack and Discord and configure the bot for notifications

    b. Simply select the channel where you want to receive these notifications.

  • New Jobs Notifications

Notifies you of new job opportunities and lets you cancel bids directly within the notification channel. You can configure this type of notification by clicking the New Job Notifications button in the top right corner of the Jobs Preview screen.

Configuring New Job Notifications allows you to use the "Do Not Apply" button directly in the notification channel. This feature lets you cancel bids within the delay time you’ve set, giving you more control over your bidding process.

Messaging Apps

Our notification system informs you about Job Search & AI Generation Bidder updates through various messaging platforms. Here, you can find the instructions on how to set up these messengers to receive notifications:

  • Setting up notifications in Telegram

  • Setting up notifications in Slack

  • Setting up notifications in Discord

Inbox Messages

Stay updated with all important system notifications in your personal Inbox Messages.

To see all important notifications sent through communication channels, hit the bell icon at the top right corner of your screen.

Quick Setup Guide:

  1. Log in to your Getmany account.

  2. Navigate to the notification settings through your top right Account Icon > Settings > Tools & Apps.

  3. Connect the notification platform you wish to configure.

  4. Switch to Notifications tab.

  5. Select the types of notifications you wish to receive.

  6. Toggle the switch to enable or disable each notification type.

  7. Set up messenger channels and groups, and add your colleagues to keep everyone updated.

Important Notes ☝️

  • Always ensure the Getmany bot has permission to post in the channels you connect.

  • For private Slack channels, you must first invite the bot to the channel before it can send notifications.

  • Notifications can be enabled or disabled at both the Global and Job Search Engine levels, providing more flexibility based on your preferences.

  • Add your teammates and colleagues to stay in the latest loop of news.
