Job search notifications help you stay informed without constant monitoring, ensuring you don't miss any opportunities. To set them up in Slack, follow these steps:

Step 1: Access Notification Settings

  1. Go to Account Settings in the top right > Apps & Tools.

  2. Locate Slack from the list of available messengers.

Step 2: Connect Slack

  1. Click on Connect next to Slack.

  2. Log in to your Slack account if prompted.

  3. Authorize the Getmany bot to connect to your Slack workspace.

Step 3: Configure Slack Channels

ℹ️ You can add the bot to existing channels or create new ones for specific notifications.

Public Channels:

  1. Invite the Getmany bot to a public channel.

  2. Ensure the bot has permission to post messages in this channel.

  3. Simply select the channel in the notification settings.

  4. Set your preferred notification checkboxes in the settings.

Private Channels:

  1. Invite @GetmanyBot into the private channel by typing /invite @GetmanyBot in the channel.

  2. Refresh the Getmany settings page and select the private channel from the list.

  3. Select the private channel in the notification settings.

  4. Set your preferred notification checkboxes in the settings.

ℹ️ Note: Unlike the Telegram bot, which can send direct messages, the Slack bot operates only within channels. You can communicate with the bot through commands within these channels.

Following these steps, you can efficiently set up and manage Job Search notifications in Slack, ensuring you stay updated with the latest opportunities and account activities. For more information, check out our Knowledge Base articles on setting up notifications in Telegram and Discord.
