Setting Up Notifications in Discord

This document provides a detailed guide on setting up and managing notifications in Discord.

These steps will set up timely updates about Job Searches and account activities directly in your Discord channels.

Step 1. Access Notifications Settings

  1. Go to Account Settings in the top right > Apps & Tools.

  2. Locate Discord from the list of available messengers.

Step 2. Connect Discord

  1. Click on Connect next to Discord.

  2. Log in to your Discord account if prompted.

  3. Authorize the Getmany bot to connect to your Discord server.

3. Configure Discord Channels

  1. Invite the Getmany bot to a channel within your Discord server:

    • Type /invite @GetmanyBot in the desired channel.

  2. Set preferred notification checkboxes in the settings.

  3. Ensure the bot has the necessary permissions to post messages in this channel:

    • Adjust the channel permissions to allow the bot to send messages.

  4. Once you're in a channel with @GetmanyBot, type special command to receive notifications.
