We're excited to introduce new custom settings that let you apply for more jobs! By setting the Terms, you'll unlock the full potential of your job applications and ensure you never miss out on fixed-price opportunities.
ℹ️ When Getmany applies for jobs using the default hourly rate of Agency freelancers and a job requires a fixed price, we don’t submit the bids, which results in lost opportunities.
By enabling this feature, you can apply for more jobs— both hourly and fixed-price projects.
Upwork Pricing Models
There are two pricing models on Upwork: Hourly Rate and Fixed Price.
Hourly Rate: You specify the expected hourly rate (i.e., the amount in $/hour).
Fixed Price: You indicate the total fixed amount you want to receive for the project, either as a single payment (By Project) or divided into several payment stages (Milestones).
Hourly Rate Jobs
You can now specify your hourly rate per Job Search! On Step 3: Terms, set up the most convenient rate, and we will use it to bid for jobs on this stream!
ℹ️ The new specified rate will be applied to all jobs that list an Hourly Rate. Instead of using the default profile rate, we'll apply the rate you entered here.
If you prefer to keep your current setting at Upwork account for the Job Search, just skip this field.
Schedule a Rate Increase:
You can choose how often to increase your hourly rate:
Never (default)
Every 3 months
Every 6 months
Every 12 months
If you select an option other than Never, a checkbox or input field will appear for you to specify the percentage increase from 1.0% to 99.9%.
For example, if your initial rate is $45 and you set a 10% increase every 3 months, your rate will become $49.50 after three months.
Fixed-Price Jobs
Getmany offers several features to manage fixed-price jobs efficiently:
By Job Condition
If the client states a budget of $500, you can apply and agree to complete the project for that amount. You can choose alternative options like By Milestone or By Project to offer other budget terms.
By Milestone
You can break down the project into several milestones, specifying the description and amount for each milestone. You can set the timeline as "plus X days from the job's start date." By using this feature, you can indicate that your work will start in 30 days from the job's start date.
Add up to 15 Milestones.
Write up a Description up to 200 characters.
Set the right Amount: Minimum $5 - Maximum $5000.
💡 We’re bidding for numerous jobs on your behalf daily, each with a different start date. By setting up the Due Date in this format, we ensure that you don’t miss out on the deadline.
How do I specify Milestones?
The milestones might include different phases of the project. For example, if you are developing a Facebook ad campaign, you might break it down into milestones like:
Milestone 1: Analyze the ad account
Milestone 2: Develop a strategy
Milestone 3: Prepare creatives
Milestone 4: Set up the pixel and launch the campaign
This feature ensures that regardless of the job description, all fixed-price jobs in your Job Search will be divided according to the specified milestones.
How long will this project take?
Specify the duration:
Less than 1 month
1 to 3 months
3 to 6 months
More than 6 months
Due Date:
Since the exact job posting date is unknown, you can specify time intervals:
1 day
3 days
1 week
2 weeks
3 weeks
1 month
2 months
More than 6 months
These dates will apply dynamically to each job.
By Project
In this case, you specify a fixed amount you want to accept for the entire project, from $5.00 to $1,000,000, regardless of the client's budget. For instance, if you are willing to handle Facebook ad campaigns for at least $2000, this amount will be used for all your project-based applications.
How long will the project take?
You must also specify the project duration:
Less than 1 month
1 to 3 months
3 to 6 months
More than 6 months
Setting Terms allows you to catch more jobs, manage your workload, and rate expectations more effectively. You can create highly personalized Job Searches using filters or a broad Job Search by filling in all the Terms fields.
💡 Tip: Match your hourly rate to what the client expects to increase your chances of getting the job.
We recommend creating more precise Job Searches using filters and setting up the desired rate while configuring your Terms in the Job Search Engine (JSE).
Happy catching! 💸
