The AI Bidder integrates seamlessly into your job search strategy. Once your job search parameters are set, the system generates tailored proposals based on the rich data you provide about your skills, experiences, and career goals.
Step 1: Bidding Type
Getmany Bidders is designed to manage each job search uniquely, ensuring your proposals are always fresh and relevant. You can choose between AI Generation Bidder and Template Bidder.
Important: If your job filter is too broad and the number of jobs in your search exceeds 400, you will be restricted from changing the Job Search settings. To prevent overwhelming responses, the system will pause bidding if it delivers more than 450 results over 15 days.
💡 Tip: We recommend narrowing your Job Search by adding specific skills and creating multiple targeted Job Searches.
💡 Tip: Set up Auto Top-Up Connects to keep job applications running smoothly without interruptions.
Step 2: Bidding Details
Setting Up Your Sender Profile
You can select a team member profile to send out proposals. This profile represents you in the bidding process and will be seen by potential clients.
Scheduling Your Bids
You can choose to have bids sent out continuously (24/7) or specify custom days and times for sending, setting your preferred time zone to ensure timing accuracy.
Step 3: Terms
This feature introduces custom settings for proposal terms on Upwork, allowing you to apply more effectively for hourly and fixed-price jobs.
The main setting possibilities include:
Hourly Rate Jobs: Specify an hourly rate per Job Search, which will be used for bidding instead of the default profile rate.
Rate Increase Schedule: Set up automatic rate increases at 3, 6, or 12 months, with a customizable percentage increase.
Fixed-Price Jobs: Manage these through three options:
By Job Condition: Accept the client's stated budget
By Milestone: Break down the project into multiple milestones with descriptions and amounts
By Project: Specify a fixed amount for the entire project
These settings allow you to create tailored Job Searches and manage your workload more effectively. You can also set the Project Duration — the expected project length for both hourly and fixed-price jobs. Additionally, you can specify the Due Dates — time intervals for project completion, ranging from one day to more than six months.

Step 4: Cover Letters
In Step 1, you choose between AI Generation Bidder and Template Bidder for your Job Search. The key distinction lies in how Cover Letters are created during Step 4.
Template Bidder
Template Bidder lets you create, save, and reuse your own cover letter templates. Simply type your template, click Save in the bottom right corner, and it's ready for future use. You can create and store multiple templates in your Template Bidder.
Tips
Tips
…to grab the attention of your potential leads:
Keep your Cover Letter concise—290 characters or less.
Long cover letters are rarely read nowadays.
Ask an intriguing question about the job description. For example: "When do you want to start the project?", "Do you have an unlimited budget?" or "When do you plan to launch the mobile app version of your fitness platform?"
Don't hesitate to make your questions engaging and fun.
Alternatively, start with facts—a less common but effective strategy is to skip the greeting and dive straight into your hook.
For instance: "Delivered 20+ successful UX projects similar to yours in the past year—check my files."
💡 Ensure that your attached files contain valuable information that enhances your credibility.
This approach requires tangible results. Be precise and confident, and you'll surely get responses.

Temperature Settings
Temperature controls the level of creativity and formality in the language used by the AI. A lower temperature results in more formal, conservative, and predictable text, while a higher temperature allows for more creative, bold, and expressive content.
Adjusting the temperature can help match the expected formality or creativity level of the industry or specific job you are targeting.

Understanding Meta-Prompts
Meta-prompts are directives you can give the AI to influence how it generates content. These prompts help guide the AI's response patterns and content generation, making it more tailored to specific situations or styled in a certain way.
In the meta-prompt [[]], you typically give general instructions to the AI. These instructions do not apply to the entire prompt. Instead, AI reads and executes the instruction within a specific section of the meta-prompt and then replaces that section with the result.
Using Static Text
If you don't need any command to be made or generated by AI, just type any text without any brackets.
✅ The correct way
Hi, my name is Vlad!
AI will skip this section and will put this text for a final cover letter
Result:
Hi, my name is Vlad!
❌ The wrong way:
[[My name is Vlad]]
In this case AI will generate the answer or any other idea it will have.
Result:
Hello, Vlad! How can I assist you today?
Using Square Brackets "[[ your prompt
]]"
LONG STORY SHORT: YOUR PROMPTS YOU PUT INSIDE IT!
Double square brackets are used to indicate that whatever is within the brackets should be replaced with relevant content during proposal generation by AI 🤖
For example, [[Use client's name if any provided and introduce myself
]] instructs the AI to insert the client's name.
Result:
Hello Abdul, my name is Vlad.
More examples:
[[Write a personal greeting using the client’s name or company name (if any is provided), in the local language of their country, using the client’s time of the day!]]
[[Describe how professional i am]]
Using Figure Brackets "{{...}}"
Figure brackets are used to insert variables that change based on the proposal. For example, {{ClientName}}
could be used in a template to automatically insert the client's name based on the job you are applying for. It could be used within Square Brackets "[[...]]" or with Static Text.
Example within Square Brackets:
[[Use {{customer.firstName}} for greetings if any provided, if no use 'Hello there']]
Result (if we have {{customer.firstName}}):
Hi Adbul!
Result (if we don't have this variable):
Hello there
Example with Static Text and Variable:
Dear Friend, {{customer.firstName}}
Result:
Dear Friend, Adbdul
Example just with Static Text:
Dear Friend, God
Result:
Dear Friend, God
🍻 Ready-made example of the cover letter
👋 [[Write a personal greeting using the client's name (if any is provided), in the local language of their country, using the client's time of the day!]]

Step 5: Client Questions
Choose whether to apply for jobs that require answering specific client questions.
This AI-powered feature is designed to answer Client Questions on Upwork job proposals automatically. Here’s how to use it:
The AI-powered system uses your pre-filled answers to generate responses to client questions. It allows you to bid on jobs that include client questions automatically.
Answer the three required questions and any additional relevant questions. By setting up comprehensive answers, you enhance the AI's ability to craft tailored responses that showcase your expertise and increase your chances of winning bids.

Note: The choice of AI model in the Cover Letter step also affects the results of AI responses to client questions.
Step 6: Attachments & GitHub
Attachments
Attach your files, portfolios, and examples of work by simply clicking Upload or using the drag-and-drop function.
GitHub Link
You can include a link to a specific GitHub repository for some job applications on Upwork. However, if you input a link to a resource not on GitHub, an error message will appear until you fix it.
Upwork only accepts links to specific repositories. For example, https://github.com/ServerlessTeam/serverless-template
While this step is optional, including your GitHub link in job applications that permit it can be beneficial. If you choose not to include a link, or the option is not available, the application process will proceed as usual.
ℹ️ Note: Adding a related project and updating your README file could increase your chances of being selected by over 20%.
Step 7: Delay
You can now set a custom delay between proposals to simulate more natural application timing. Choose from a range of bid delays, from 5 to 60 minutes. These time frames have proven to be most effective for successful bids.
Step 8: Check and Start Bidding
Review all settings and configurations before activating your AI Bidder. Ensure everything is set up according to your preferences, then activate the bidding system.
Once activated, you can monitor the AI Bidder's performance and adjust settings as necessary.
