While automation handles most of the work, there are moments when you'll want to step in. Whether that's triggering an application the system skipped or canceling one that's been scheduled, we've built in controls that let you override the system's decisions.
In this guide:
π Where to Find These Controls
You'll find manual bidding controls in the Jobs Preview section of each Scanner. This is where your search results appear, organized into four tabs: All, Applied, Scheduled, and Skipped.
To help you quickly understand what's happening with each job, we use color coding. Jobs where the system successfully applied are highlighted in green, scheduled applications appear in yellow, and skipped jobs show up in red.
Manually Triggering Applications
There are various reasons why the system might skip a job β it could be a synchronization issue with Upwork, a decision made by our AI Decision Maker, or it may simply be outside your Scanner filters, which means the job might not even appear in Jobs Preview. If you spot a job without any application status, or one marked as Skipped, and you'd like to apply anyway, just click the Apply Now button in the top right corner of the job card. The system will submit your proposal within a few minutes.
Canceling Scheduled Applications
Changed your mind about a scheduled proposal? If a job shows a Scheduled status but you've decided not to pursue it, simply click the Cancel sending button. This prevents the system from submitting that proposal.
βΉοΈ Please note that you can only cancel applications while they're in the Scheduled status. Once the system has already applied to a job (status shows as Applied), canceling through the platform is no longer possible.
